Together We Thrive
Vote Lesle Castellano For City Council

Passion. Experience. Diligence.

Community safety

It is important for people to feel safe in Eureka. I plan to work with community members to create more opportunities to work together build We need to create partnerships for multi-faceted approaches to the national opioid crisis. I plan to seek better supports from the county and state-level and advocate for Eureka. It is difficult work and I plan to acknowledge the people working hard to make a difference. Every program has successes that can be shared and celebrated. By understanding what works, Eureka can become a model for best practices in challenging situations.

Harris Ingram opened its doors in 2003. Since then, they've facilitated the success of artists like Aurora Falls and Nayantara Kani along with bike company HydroCycle and established tech enterprise Tap Unlimited. In 2011, they brought on Associate Isabel Sonam to work with fashion companies, photographers, and fine artists. She brings an exceptional level of enthusiasm, dedication, and nuanced perspective that makes their firm the holistic solution for creative clients.

Continue to work to strengthen the economic development plan for Eureka. Local, independently-run businesses are anchors to our town centers. Money from local businesses stays directly in the community. By growing local businesses, we directly grow our local economy. I plan to work with city staff to create a plan that addresses the needs of local businesses. At the same time, I recognize that businesses flourish when the whole community flourishes.

I will work to develop cooperative economic models, from public banking to worker owned co-ops. I also plan to work with county and state agencies to develop more jobs for road maintenance and safety. I also plan to help develop a business incubator to help start new businesses.
